Places to Visit with a Mobility Scooter – Explore the World

We all know that feeling when you need to get out of the house and explore. Maybe you’re feeling a little stir crazy or just looking for something new to do. Getting out and about on your mobility scooter is a great way to see Southeast Wisconsin in a whole new light. Here are our favorite places to visit.

Recently my husband purchased a Golden LiteRider Mobility Scooter. We enjoy taking it out to our local parks and visiting the neighborhoods. We usually pack a light lunch to eat while we’re out, and often we’ll meet up with friends who also have scooters. It’s a great way to get fresh air, enjoy the scenery, and socialize simultaneously.

Here are some of our favorite outings:

I usually walk as my husband rides his mobility scooter. One of the best accessories we found was a backpack/cooler/stool that we hooked onto the scooter seat. When we need to stop and take a break, I have a place to sit and grab a snack and refreshing drink.

Scooters are easy to operate and can be very comfortable to ride, even for long periods.
